Air Force Concert Band

Historic Manassas Inc. is proud to announce that t he United States Air Force Band will present a special Veterans Day concert at Metz Middle School on Tuesday, November 11 at 7:30pm. The United States Air Force Band Concert Band and Singing Sergeants will come together to form this flagship musical ensemble, representing the best-of-the-best in musical talent and education within the United States Air Force. 

 

The Concert Band—the premier band of the United States Air Force—is a world-class symphonic wind ensemble.  The 52-member band performs a wide variety of musical repertoire from light classics, popular favorites and instrumental features to the most serious classical transcriptions and original works for the band idiom.

 

The Singing Sergeants is the official 23-voice chorus of the United States Air Force and is one of the world’s most versatile and traveled choral organizations.  They perform a wide range of musical repertoire including opera, traditional and contemporary choral literature, oratorio, folk songs, pop standards, musical theater and jazz—with an emphasis on the choral music of America. 

 

Tickets are free and will be available beginning October 30 at the Visitor Center in the Old Town train depot. Watch the News and Messenger for mail-in ticket requests beginning November 1. Tickets are limited to four per person on a first come, first served basis. Will call is not available for this concert.
