A Re-opening Celebration in Old Town Manassas

On Saturday, February 23 at 10:30AM we officially helped re-open The Whimsical Galerie at 9070 Center Street. A resident of Manassas since 1985, Chris Finnie once managed this corner shop that features greeting cards, candles, wind chimes and flags. Ms. Finnie also serves on the city planning commission as well as the traffic safety commission. “I’m so happy to be back in Old Town” says Finnie, “and look forward to being here for a long time!” Welcome additions to the shop by the new owner include the Toy Attic, a special section for “guy shoppers” and a chalkboard for anyone in a creative mood to contribute. In attendance at the ceremony were Finnie's husband and daughter, city councilman Jonathan Way, Chamber of Commerce president Rick Hendershot, and Linda Robertson, Executive Director of Historic Manassas, Inc., as well as many other well-wishers.
